Aphantasia
When I close my eyes,
there’s no sound, no pictures, no taste or touch—
just the real world, clear and bright.
Feelings hit hard and sharp,
while memories fade quickly,
each photo holding a moment I might lose.
Is it better this way?
No flashbacks, no mental images, no noise on repeat.
But when I sleep, dreams fill with colors and scenes,
like a movie I can finally see—
and I believe that creations can come from dreams.
Aphantasia helps me through my day keeping my emotions steady helping me cope with what each day brings.
