A Christmas visit to the Didcot Railway Centre
Of they set a Mum, Dad and their Son. Oma went too.
They arrived at the station where to park oh no not an app what a lark!
They all arrive at the entrance and are met by a kindly guide, who showed them the way to go.
Over the bridge their journey begins, a pass and a Christmas stocking are given to the boy to collect 9 reindeer toys.
Little huts are decorated and an elf stamps the pass when the child says the name of the deer the family laughs and cheers 8 more huts to go.
2 steam trains roar up and down the tracks the steam bellows out the boy is excited now their journey has started.
Trains of all different kinds can be seen by the boy these are real and not just a toy.
Mum, Dad and Oma join in the fun the boy hurt his foot and couldn’t run so had to be pushed along the route he wore only one sock and one boot.
After all the pass had been stamped by the elf’s and the stocking filled with wonderful gifts the end of the route was near by Oma was pleased and gave a sigh.
Their journey’s end led them to
a big shed where the Steam train was waiting. The guard had a list of all the children who were waiting to see Santa and there was Rudolph all red in all his splendour in the big Steam train shed.
A few more steps for Dad to carry the boy a carriage to explore and chose a toy then aboard they alighted the group delighted to be riding along on a Great Western Train, steam billowing it started to rain but that didn’t matter they would definitely be coming again.
